What Does Car Computer Diagnostics Include?

How Does Diagnostics Work at TTS?

1. Understanding the symptoms

We first discuss the problem with the customer: what happens, when it happens and under what conditions the fault occurs.

2. Connecting the diagnostic equipment

We connect professional diagnostic equipment appropriate for the vehicle and check the available control units.

3. Reading and analysing fault codes

We check stored and, depending on the system, current faults. We do not rely only on the fault-code number.

4. Analysing operating parameters

When necessary, we check available system parameters and compare them with the symptoms reported by the customer.

5. Finding the cause

Based on the diagnostic results, we determine the most likely cause of the problem and identify what should be checked or repaired next.

6. Agreeing on further work

If additional diagnostics or repairs are required, we explain the necessary work and cost before proceeding with the next stage.

Computer Diagnostics vs. Simply Clearing Fault Codes

Clearing a fault code is not the same as repairing the vehicle.

If the underlying problem remains, the fault may return after starting the engine or during driving.

For this reason, TTS does not treat diagnostics as simply connecting a scanner and clearing warning lights. The main goal is to determine why the fault occurred.

After the repair, diagnostics can be performed again to verify whether the problem has been resolved.
