At Twin Torque Service, we provide diagnostics and repair of petrol and diesel engines in passenger cars and commercial vehicles. We handle both individual engine faults and more comprehensive repairs of engine assemblies.

Before starting the work, we analyse the symptoms reported by the customer and assess the condition of the engine. Depending on the situation, we perform computer diagnostics, read fault codes stored in the control units and analyse engine operating parameters.

For mechanical faults, the diagnostic process may also include checking the lubrication system, cooling system, timing system and other components that affect correct engine operation.

The purpose of diagnostics is to identify the actual cause of the fault rather than simply remove the symptom.

Symptoms of Engine Problems

Symptoms that may indicate the need for engine diagnostics include:

• increased engine oil consumption;
• exhaust smoke;
• engine overheating;
• unusual knocking or other noises;

Not every one of these symptoms means that the engine requires a complete overhaul. Proper diagnostics can determine whether the problem is directly related to the engine or to one of the systems working with it.

Petrol and Diesel Engine Repair

We service both petrol and diesel engines. The scope of diagnostics and repair depends on the design of the specific engine and the type of fault.

For diesel engines, we also pay attention to systems working together with the engine, including the turbocharging system, fuel injection system and exhaust gas after-treatment system.

For petrol engines, we can diagnose problems related to ignition, the air-fuel mixture, the intake system, timing and other components that affect engine operation.

How Does Engine Repair Work?

We start by collecting information about the symptoms and performing the appropriate diagnostics. We then determine the likely cause of the fault and the required scope of repair.

After the repair scope has been agreed, we remove the necessary components, replace damaged or worn parts and carry out the required assembly work.

After completing the repair, we check engine operation. Depending on the type of fault, we may also perform computer diagnostics and check the engine's operating parameters.

Parts for Engine Repair

The selection of parts depends on the specific engine, scope of repair and condition of the remaining components. Before starting the work, we prepare an estimate for parts and labour.

For larger repairs, the replacement scope is determined based on diagnostics and an assessment of the technical condition. This helps avoid replacing components that are still serviceable and allows the repair to be matched to the actual problem.

How Much Does Engine Repair Cost?

The cost of engine repair depends on the type of fault, engine design, amount of dismantling required and number of components that need to be replaced.

For this reason, we do not use one fixed price for all engine repairs. After diagnostics, we prepare an individual estimate for parts and labour and agree the planned scope of work with the customer before starting the repair.
